Soccer game

It was physical education again today and our class was made to play soccer. Since in primary school, I have been a fan of soccer clubs but I am not actually good in playing the game. So, I was not entirely thrilled when I heard we were playing soccer. Thinking that I would pull the team down if I were to play striker, I decided to play the goalkeeper instead which is the only thing I am good at in soccer.

The game went on for a few long minutes. I did not take my eyes of the ball. I made a few good saves if I could say so myself. Then it happened, I let my guard down for a few seconds and a goal went in with a blink of an eye. Luckily my teammates were understanding and did not blame me. Before you know it, we were trailing. I got tired of playing goalkeeper and was replaced with one of my friends. A few minutes later, one of my friends scored the equalizer. Then a few other goals were scored from both sides. Then it happened, the ball was lying in front of me. I took my chances and dribbled the ball and then I took the shot.

The ball went in and I finally scored a goal. It was very exciting to score a goal and the best thing was that it was the all important equalizer. I received cheers from all my teammates. A few minutes later, they kicked a ball which hit a cone. It did not go in the goal but the opposing team claimed that it did. We had quite an argument but they still kept insisting that it was a goal. in the end, we gave in and they won the match. It does not really matters if we won or lost. The most important thing is that we tried our best and that is more than enough.

Happy Birthday!!!!

Today was my beloved mom's birthday. Our family did not insist that we do not go eat outside as we were all tired and me and my sister had loads of homework to do. To make things even more exciting, we had invited all of our relatives to celebrate my mom's birthday with us. Each of them brought different food materials and before you know it, the table was filled to its maximum capacity. There was a very wide variety of food and my mouth really watered at that time.

Before I was reunited with my beloved food, we had to light the candles. To make it more interesting, all the lights were dimmed. Then, it was time for my mom to blow the candle. My mom had to attempt to blow the candles for a few time before she finally suceeded. It was quite amusing to see my mom trying her best to put the flames. Each of us had our fair share of cake and I have to admit, it tasted much better than the way it looked. I finished my share in no time.

Finally, it was time for food. My mouth watered as I looked at the different kind of food which are waiting for me to eat them. Without wasting any more time, I took my first bite. I kept biting and biting until all the food ran out. I was rather suprised that my relatives could eat this much. After that, everybody chatted with each other. We all took this moment as a time to catch up with one another. After a few hours of non-stop chatting, it was time to wrap up the day and everybody went home. I had an unbelievable time today. I cannot wait for my birthday to arrive.

The Outing

Today, as the weather was sunny and it was a Sunday, my family decided to go cycling in East Coast Park. I felt that it was a way to destress after getting dumped with so much homework and projects. To think that it was only the first two weeks. We went with my aunts, uncles and cousins, so it was pretty much very fun and exciting.

We had breakfast first at Mcdonald's as our stomachs were empty. After filling up our stomachs, it was time for fun. Each of us rented bicycles and we cycled all around East Coast Park. I could even see Victoria School from there. I have to admit, it was rather tiring and my legs ached after cycling such a distance. Nonetheless, it was very enjoyable.

After returning our bikes, we found a perfect spot to lay out our mats and organised all of our belongings. Then, all the children, including me, built sandcastles while the adults sat on the mats and chated. We had a little competition to see who could build the most amazing sandcastle. It is quite childish but we had lots of fun.

I had so much fun that we did not realise that it was already noon. We packed all of our belongings and got rid of all the sand stuck in between our feets. We had our lunch first as all of us were almost depleted of energy. After refilling our stomachs, it was time for us to separate. After being re-energized and having a load being lifted out of my mind, I am prepared for school tomorrow.

First week of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The holidays are over and the new year has begun. As usual, I was both happy and sad at the same time. I'm happy because school was beginning and was unhappy because the holidays had already ended. A week has already passed so fast. Quite a lot of things had happened this week. I finally saw the secondary one's who were surprisingly very tiny. Finally, I was not the youngest in the school.

My two form teachers were the same but there were a few new subject teachers. I find their teaching styles very interesting. Their styles are quite different from the way the teachers last year thought us. Their lessons are quite interesting, at least for the first week. I'm quite excited to find out what they have in store for us in the days to come.

As all of us moved up to secondary two in the same class, I had all of my old classmates from secondary one and thus I had no trouble making friends. It was rather exciting to see my classmates again after a long school holiday which last about two months. They were all the same as before, as goofy and playfull as possible. Just the way I remembered them before the holidays started.

It was such a great start of this new year. I really cannot wait for the other interesting things we will be doing as a class in the months to come. I am very sure that this year would an even more exciting year than the one before. Well, this is it for my post today. Be sure to wait for my next post. Until next time!
